Additional delays are to be expected. Nothing new here. Better remove all dates from all articles and then sit back and wait for it to happen.

A few pics of the older version of the 767 Tanker, the KC-767 from the JASDF on display earlier in the year at the Avalon Airshow (located near Melbourne) Japan Air Self Defense Force KC-767J 97-3603 Avalon Airshow 2017 by JKKW, on Flickr Japan Air Self Defense Force KC-767J 97-3603 Avalon Airshow 2017 by JKKW, on Flickr And you thought hours in a LCC was bad, imagine flying on this! an 8 abreast 767 with no windows or overhead lockers, at least the headroom is pretty good! Japan Air Self Defense Force KC-767J 97-3603 Avalon Airshow 2017 by JKKW, on Flickr The pilot said the cockpit is identical to normal 767s except for an extra screen which allows them to see the refueling activities. The refueling console is located behind the cockpit in the front section of the cabin. I wasn't able to take a decent picture of it though. Have just seen the photos above and the interesting cultural stance on tanker fuel! Does this sort of sentiment really translate to Japanese? (or any other country's language?!)
Meanwhile Airbus must be pleased with the funding bleed to Boeing having lost out with the A330 MRTT (unless some accounting manoeuvre adds to A's list of complaints wrt Boeing 'hidden' subsidies).
