B747-8 white tail development

Another piece of news about 748 white tail frames.

Both LN1519 & LN1523 (ex-Transaero NTU) have been set a delivery date of 31st October 2017, for AFO conversion.

My understanding is that both LN1437 (painting at the moment) & LN1495 for Qatar Cargo and Qatar Amiri are expected to be delivered in October/November as well.

This will mean by year end, there will be only one white tail remaining - LN1435. It is likely it will be used as test bed for AFO equipment, so will be delivered soon as well.

What a remarkable clearance process for Boeing!

L/N 1446 - 747-8JA , RC004, serial number 40065 , BBJ customer : Saudi Crown Prince Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (Saudi Arabian Government ), test registration N458BJ, future registration HZ-HMS1 , white livery, F/F May-30-2012, Delivery date: June 29-2012, Delivery flight (N458BJ- CYVR-KSBD) date July 9-2012. Owner : Bank of Utah Trustee, Salt Lake City, Utah (Corporation). Was stored at San Bernadino . The Future of this aircraft seems to be unsure, because the Prince passed away at October 22-2011. VIP outfitting contract with Jet Aviation (Basel) was cancelled. Ferried, again with call-sign N458BJ, to Lackland AFB TX at October 06-2012. Ferry flight (N458BJ- KSKF-LFSB) to Basel -Mulhouse at December 28-2012. Aircraft for sale by Atlas Aviation Sales & Leasing LLC (Florida).

It's no longer Boeing property.

So long for my favorite 747-8 livery- the Seahawks! Now in QR color.

The only remaining white tail with Boeing has been contractually delivered to the customer already, according to planespotters.

The only other white tail 1446, do have an owner although not operational for the past 9 years.
