There is a significant difference: SriLankan is owned by the government You are right, there are important differences. The reason I worried is that canceling orders for long-range aircraft is often part of turnaround plans. Hopefully, not in this case. UL have plans to change A350 order to get new A321s

Unfortunately, we are too far away from each other to celebrate with a drink in hand ! We shall toast with a glass of virtual champagne then. I think there's an app for such a thing, I'm quite sure.

UL have plans to change A350 order to get new A321s I suppose that would only be the four they ordered and still get three on lease from AerCap?

We will see what will happen with those 2 in assembly - it will not take too long to find out. Frankly it is aesy to understand. If you try to check for airticket from EU to Colombo you will end with EK or TK since both offer cheaper fare and good service. UL would offer probably same service but the Y ticket is at least 150EUR more.....

The first is in Parts arriving at TLS and the next two frames are close behind, parts for their third have been seen. The frames are MSN52,55 then 60. So 52 into FAL next week and 60 early March ? We will see what happens !

I would not bet this order will remain unchanged, though ...
