The piece of good news for HNA is “Hainan will also borrow $234 million from China Development Bank to help with the purchase.”. CDB, a state bank, will provide funding. Until now this wasn’t possible, this may indicate that HNA finally won the support of government help and state banks now taking part of HNA rescue plan. This could explain why MSN308 (and MSN283?) is at flightline. Yes, the story points to a resumption of government-funded deliveries, as was the case at the end of last year. This must be part of a government-controlled (or at least inspired) effort to normalise the situation of the air transport branch of the HNA group.

The current CEO (his was previously the founding CEO, then half retired and only came back when the CEO died in France last year), used all the media channels to apologise for the ignore of government guidance and ruthless expansion HNA group did in the past few years.
Beside selling all non-airline related businesses, he even dressed up as a cabin crew to serve drinks on flights, to show that HNA's core business will be the airlines, nothing else.

The fact that some frames previously assigned to HK Airlines are being taken by Hainan suggests the above information is serious. If it is confirmed, then will it be a consequence of the shareholder infighting ? Or could it be part of a government plan ?

Thank you for this piece of information, Kronus. Legally and technically, however, this is not a transfer, it is an order cancellation offset by an entirely new order.

Nice picture but Frenchpainters comment is a bit too simple because msn 308 is Alafco and said to be for Hainan Airlines.
