Additional 2 lease orders for Virgin Atlantic from ALC, total will be 6 lease orders from ALC + 8 direct orders from Airbus = 14 a350-1000 deliveries for Virgin Atlantic: After today's additional lease orders, delivery schedule for 6 remaining deliveries should look like this: 2022 2x 2023 3x 2024 1x source: ATDB

Status of the next 3 frames:
507 G-VLIB in FAL [F-WZFU]
513 G-VBOB Pre Load - FAL
521 G-VNVR Parts Arriving
What does pre-load mean exactly?

This piece of writing from simpleflying says: 1 more in 2022, 1 in 2023 and 1 in 2024. Not sure whether this is true that two planned deliveries in 2023 have been pushed back further. "The first factory-fresh A330-900 comes this September, with two more following before the year-end and an A350-1000. Additionally, a further three A330-900s will be delivered next year and another A350-1000. Further out, four A330-900s are due for delivery arriving in 2024, and an additional A350. These new aircraft will replace older A330s and Boeing 787s as they enter service." simpleflying.com/virgin-atlantic-cargo-airbus-a321-lease/

Is there any developments for the next A350s? I would’ve thought more than 1 would be delivered this year

Is there any developments for the next A350s? I would’ve thought more than 1 would be delivered this year We've got an answer today. VS Annual report 2021 is online, can be found here today, corporate.virginatlantic.com/content/dam/corporate/Virgin%20Atlantic%20Annual%20Report%202021_compressed.pdf"Since 2019 we have welcomed eight new Airbus A350s and retired all four-engine aircraft. In 2022 we welcome a further A350 and the first three A330-900s." So it looks like we won't see another A350-1000 join VS fleet in 2022, only three more A330-900s.

Am I right to think that Virgin will only have 12 A350s instead of 14 by reading the paragraphs below? This is confusing, as Airbus is still showing 3 unfilled deliveries from VS. And I think there was one more from ALC as well. We will see from this month's Airbus O&D update, maybe VS has transferred 1 frame to ALC and may take those two later. Or VS traded in 2 frames when Delta ordered their 20 A35Ks. "Our fleet transformation started in 2017, when we placed orders for 12 A350s and 16 A339s." "In the year ahead, we will reach a full complement of A350s, taking our final two deliveries and build our total fleet count from 41 to 45 with four further A339s entering the fleet and retirement of two of our A333s." corporate.virginatlantic.com/content/dam/Virgin_Atlantic_Annual_Report_2023.pdf
