News about Virgin Atlantic is everywhere today, cutting 30% of job, suspend Gatwick operation (of course they will do that, to protect the valuable slots in Heathrow) and cutting fleet to 36 aircraft by mid 2022. No surprise here, almost exactly same as BA announced a week ago. Financial Times pointed out that "This will see it reduce its 43-strong fleet to 36, and leave just three — more efficient and environmentally friendly — plane types: A350, B787 and A330-300s." www.ft.com/content/24cc7e2e-5361-4bcd-bfad-b95cae695d86VS currently has 17 B789s, 10 A333s (I will discuss this in another place) and 4 A35Ks. So only 5 more A35Ks will be taken by mid 2022 instead of full 9 frames? Or will they carry on accepting all 9 A35Ks to replace the 5 A333s lease expiring in 2021, and push most of A339s later? Love to see VS survive, extremely hard time.

Another update about VS
The next two A35K (MSN71 & MSN415) will be delivered once the airline back running. The delivery of the remaining six A35K have been deferred.
There are also a registration number/aircraft name swap (this has happened with B789 fleet as well), MSN415 was reported as G-VTEA Rosie Lee and MSN426 as G-VRNB Purple Rain (as still showing on planespotters website). Now MSN415 become G-VRNB Purple Rain, it has been fully painted already.
The following two A35K for VS will be G-VTEA Rosie Lee (likely MSN426), and G-VBOB Soul Rebel.
