But only one of the prototypes is for them. The other is for French Bee Do we know that for sure?
As I said before, Airbus don't normally sell these prototype, they are leased to airlines. So we won't know until they've finished all the work.

Do we know that for sure? I don't remember, I don't think Airbus said anything (in such cases, they never do), but customer airlines may have provided information.

Correct, Airbus don't make announcement on any prototype development until the frames been converted and delivered.
The only announcement was from the Dubreuil Group regarding two A359 for French Bee and Air Caraibes from ALC next summer, and one A35X for Air Caraibes in December 2019. I've published the source under Franch Bee and Air Caraibes thread.
I don't believe refurbishment for MSN65 will take 18 months, it's normally a 6-month job, hence I believe it will join VS.
As always, let's wait and see...

To challenge you a bit According to VS delivery plan, they expect to receive 3 A35K in 2019. MSN 274, 298 and 319 will definetively make it through FAL in 2019. If everything goes on time MSN319 should be the 12th A35K of 2019. More than reasonable given the fact that in 2018 approximately 16 A35K will be delivered Taking that into account, either MSN65 or 71 won´t make it through 2019 and considering that: - MSN5 rework took almost 2 years - MSN65 and 71 conversion started before summer and no expected delivery at least for VS in 2019 One of the prototypes will be for VS and the other will be the one to be delivered in December 2019 to Air Caraibes

Nice challenge I've been following VS for the past 19 years, it would be unusual for VS only take one prototype when there are two available, especially they need additional frames to replace the A346/B744 fleet, in addition to B787 RR engine problem. As I said, let's wait and see...

Knowing what your main competitor is having for the next ten years (or fifteen in BA case ), is crucially important to help you make an informed decision on the final seat design/choice .
Even that means a couple of months delay on delivery, the advantage on seat is more important for VS.
