42 enigine swaps, o.k. AAB was right not to take the A/C. 2 big unsolved issues.
I wonder how P&W can cope with it especially now in ramp if the issue is still not solved.
At least the HK fuel data is very impressive, especially as the saving during taxi, start, climb, descend are even much higher than 15-18% in cruise.

An improved bearing will be available from April and can be retrofitted on all existing engines. The bearing failure seems to be the most annoying issue right now as it occurs every ~ 300 hours. Airlines continue to take delivery of new A320neo aircraft, so I doubt it will hamper production ramp-up that much.

Well, the bearing failure also seems to be the problem the most easy to solve. Customers might be more concerned about combustion chamber issues, which look more serious ... Let's hope six months will be enough for a new design and wide-scale production.

The Flightglobal piece reconfirms information posted upthread. The paper rightly pinpoints the single gearbox incident, but we still don't know the root cause.
