simpleflying.com/qatar-airbus-a320neo-engines/?utm_source=popApparently Mr. AAB has decided to switch engine manufacturers, based on the reliability of of the engines. 46% of GTF airframes were grounded at one point... this is really blowing up in P&W.. very disappointing...really wanted them to get the accolades for the GTF...

in al teh issues with PW - GTF, were GoAir as affected as indigo? i don't recall reading anything about GoAir having to change all their Engines. could this just be a matter of scale, Indigo has such a large batch of GTF, their issues are magnified - comparatively speaking??

GoAir were included as it was the aviation ministry that said the GTFs had to be changed to a newer PW GTF spec.

That again did only pertain to engines that did not comply to the newer P&W GTF spec, we know that some engines comply. You can also read the aviations ministry order as pressuring just for a faster reaction.

Should be a simple solution to use alt climb. Conserves fuel and engines, cost a few minutes per flight.
