After reading the AW article again, as well as the comments above, I now have mixed feelings. The assertion is that a vibration issue develops after about one thousands flight hours. In other words, it is a durability issue, which should certainly be addressed, but there seems to be a lot of hyperbole in some of the comments.

I tend to agree here - the feeling from this article is that "somebody" wanted to manipulate the price of the shares and therefore wanted this article written. Most of it is not real facts but speculation and repeating of oooold well known facts.
The many times repeated phrase "people said" is very suspicious. Why not the XY said.... if it would be once in the article, but is it there many times.
As always we will see !

An auxiliary gearbox fault can happen on about any engine.

another issue for Pratt .... That's just an accessory gearbox problem, not much of a concern - accessory gearboxes are a source of problems all the time on most types. If it wasn't for the protracted P&W saga, we wouldn't have heard of it ... EDIT : I didn't read Mjoelnir's post before posting ; sorry I sort of duplicated his post.
