So there would be a reduction of about 25 deliveries this year. Not exactly, manufacturers always include some spare engines in their forecasts. I don't know how many is usual (it must be a percentage of the in service fleet). I suppose in this case the allowance for spare engines is higher than usual.

I guess not, Two of NK neos have been waiting for engines for 3 weeks (905) and 5 days (901) now.

It could be that one needs a dual engine replacement (just a conjecture on my part) In any case it looks like there aren't enough spares to go around as 903, 904 and 905 (the first time) had their engines replaced within 24 hours, so there was minimal down time. But now 901 and 905 have come up for engine replacements again with 905 coming up less than 3 weeks after her first engine was replaced. Is that why NK is applying this FL300 limitation since mid-March ? Looks like it became a standard even before it was requested in India. NK implemented it as soon as it got P&W recommendation on March 16th I think. I believe reading somewhere there was a airline NEO working group meeting in March where all airlines where had ordered the NEO or operating the NEO met.

One can fly, one can wait for two engines 905 needs two engines, 901 needs a new engine. 904 now needs another new engine, it is currently being ferried to DFW where they will take a good engine off of one plane to give one of the 3 out of service NEOs a set of good engines to put one back into service. (Most likely 904 as 905 and 901 have been prepared to long term storage (windows taped up, covers on the apu tailcone, engine cowling covered up) while awaiting engines (now totalling four) There was an indication earlier that 902 might have had a chip indication and so might need a ferry to DFW as well in the near future. Maintenance was running a betting pool to see when they'd have all five NEOs in DFW for a family NEO picture sans engines. so for tonight and tomorrow is a good chance to get a picture of 3 of Spirits 5 NEOs sitting on the ramp possibly 4.

I am so sorry, I was half making a joke ? Why have none of the aviation media been over this ?
