Here is something from Bloomberg, www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-02-19/china-said-to-near-takeover-of-hna-group-as-virus-hits-businessMy source in China told me, the Hainan Airlines fleet are likely go to Air China. Within the HNA Group, Suparna Airlines will be sold to Jiangsu Provincial Government to form a new airline called Jiangsu Airlines. Lucky Air and Air Chang'an airlines go to China Eastern, GX Airlines and Air Guilin go to China Southern. No mention of Hong Kong Airlines, Beijing Capital Airlines, Fuzhou Airlines, Tianjin Airlines and Urumqi Airlines so far.

A lot of the smaller airlines under the HNA umbrella are partly owned by the regional government or business. I assume they will take over and we will see quite a few independent small airlines.

They've denied immediately, then they subsequently confirmed that the top 4 executives have been called into Hainan Provincial government, to "discuss" the future of the HNA group. The market reacted very positively, the share price of all subsidiary companies within HNA group went up a lot today. They don't normally do that in China, if the selling of HNA is not on the card.
