I guess it depends on how we read the article... Maybe what the flightglobal's article says is '2 further A380s' after MSN143?...... confusing They in flightglobal talk about the first, serving London, the second, serving Paris and than two more serving two jet undisclosed destination. That means four A380 this year for me. I find it pretty clear as well. "Qatar's first A380 is due to be flown to Doha on 18 September and will begin service on the Doha to London route on 10 October. A second superjumbo, on display beside the first aircraft at the ceremony in Hamburg, will serve Paris from later that month. Al Baker expects two further A380s by the end of the year" 1 (September) + 1 (October) + 2 (end of the year) = 4

With MSN160 delivery confirmed for this year, I'm counting 30 deliveries for 2014. Unless MSN 171 goes through outfitting/painting/testing very fast, so as to be delivered in December ... That would make 31 ! Sure. But at least Airbus will meet their delivery guidance of 30 jets. There was some doubt after the Skymark cancellation because nobody knew if MSN160 would deliver in 2014.

Yes, not so long ago we discussed whether Airbus could deliver 32 A380s this year. Then Skymark blew up, the QR frames stalled and 30 deliveries seemed out of reach. Now almost everything is in order again.
If Airbus ends up delivering exactly 30 A380s this year, you 'll have to think that everything that happened was part of the plan ...

Wether or not the 2 Skymark frames in production are sold sooner or later I'm afraid we wouldn't be able to count on them for this year......

Of course, and the Skymark threads are likely to live on for a while, until the future of the frames is clarified ...

I'd say apparently indeed MSN163 and MSN143 would be ready, I'm wondering about MSN164 though, perhaps EK wouldn't need it before 01st/12 so would it be either October either November?....

I think MSN145 will be a November delivery.

Following MSN160(QR4) most likely not being delivered this year ( a380.boards.net/post/38459/thread ) and the last 5 A380s supposed to be delivered this year (MSN165-EK MSN168-EK MSN169-EK MSN160-QR4 MSN166-EY1) still worked in hangars at XFW and none of them yet rolled out, as we now approach early November, my feeling is that time is shortening lots. I think the situation is not comparable to the last 2 years where (late 2013 for example) 2 EK frames were rolled out in November and still delivered that year, as there were just these two to 'flight-test' and deliver, and as this year we now have 5 of them including one HoV (MSN166-EY1). It seems to me that Airbus is still testing the new doors (2 flight tests of an unOF and recently arrived frame at XFW (MSN175)), and this is probably the reason for the frames not yet being rolled out. Overall, I will now expect Airbus to revise down its delivery target for this year, MSN160 is extremely likely not to be delivered this year I'll expect MSN166 to still make it at least one EK frame not making it (MSN169?) I'd imagine a delivery for this year around 28.
