With 3 frames rolled out yesterday and today (MSN166-EY MSN168-MSN169-EK) I guess these would have chances to be delivered this year, still...

Airbus now is almost assured to deliver at least 29 A380s this year. To meet their guidance (30), they still need either MSN 160 (QR 4) or MSN 171 (EK 58) to be rolled out in time for delivery before year-end. The latter has only a small chance, but the former should make it, even if only after many flight tests ...

Al Baker said MSN160 will be delivered in December. Cabin and paint is most likely finished, the doors are being replaced and after that it should be able to do its CFF very quickly.

Now all I need to get my spreadsheet tidy again is for the two other Quatar frames to be gone..... then those pesky Skymark birds will start making it messy again, unless Airbus manage a quick sale......... JT

So am I right in thinking it will be 29 frames only delivered this year, the elusive 30th being Skymark 162, with 166, 168 and 169 delivered this month...... Lack of 162 will put a big hole into the income side of the budget so its understandable for AB to play hardball on compo from Skymark.........

To meet the deadline, Airbus had better start moving MSN 160 on the flightline soon ...

Any chance to squeeze in MSN 171 just before year end? Still got CFF and CAF to do, but at least that might help the share price a bit.
Or are we thinking AB just did a swape of origional sequence between MSN160 and MSN171? Perhaps aiming at getting more order from QR. Althought QR will be in competition with EK, I guess EK won't mind too much if that helps AB to keep the production line alive.

AB is happy - making it full 30 pcs even with the Skymark almost finished frames out.
