For the record: MSN004 in the air late afternoon over France today for another test. I read in Flight International recently she is used as a testbed for the enginepylonof the A320Neo, so this might explain why she is so active recently.

Surely, it can't handle those EAs?

I quote Flight International, 11-17 June issue, page 66, which reported that owing to the larger engines on the A320Neo it will have a pylon design similar to the A380: 'The flight testing has involved using one of the A380 testbeds, MSN4, to assess the design for the A320neo's aft pylon fairing, which is situated close to the nozzle. 'We chose the most demanding environment, the A380', says chief engineer Pierre-Henri Brousse, referring the exposure of the fairing during tests'.
If MSN004 is still used for those tests is not clear from the story.
