If the tests are related to an A330-NEO, then sharklets might be part of the project. Have we recent pictures of MSN 871 showing its aerodynamic configuration ? I don't think Airbus are ever anywhere near to making a decision on Sharklets... But here's a picture from the 5th of March. link

This is very sad. We tend to forget the hazards incurred by factory staff. Let's hope these workers recover quickly and Airbus draws some lessons from this accident.

Do I understand correctly this accident happened in the paint shop? Anyway, let's hope for the best, may they recover soon.

With the 25 A330 to AirAsiaX being powered by GE, just as the latest orders from DL and TK, are GE gaining some momentum here is is cathing in on RR's marketshare leadership in the A330?
On the other hand, seems like there was two P&W powered aircraft delivered in April, one for Asiana and one for China Southern

Sad to hear about this. I did a google translate from the press article to English so have a rough outline as to what happened, but very surprising given the work practices Airbus have followed for years. I doubt I will see an accident report as a domestic for French authorities.....JT

But they have heavy duty safety ropes around them all the time, haven't they? Did something fall onto them, like a loose crane, or did they fall down from a platform? All the best to all envolved and speedy recovery.
