A linguistic question - how do you say "bras and panties" (in describing the Lazy B - Boeing) in the Queen's English; in Aussie English; German, French and Spanish Aerospace is a global market and we have to be culturally sensitive and accurate here in cyperspace!!! Want to make sure that that last post is fully translated and understood! Again - strip poker - Leahy -would have them naked very quickly!!

In French, the usual phrase would be a male version (no bra!): "en slip" "Se retrouver en slip" : to be left with only panties on --> to have lost almost everything You have other less common ways of saying the same. I do not think corporate leaders ever experience the situation ! I'll be interested in other answers. By the way, I think the discussion is not in the relevant thread.

I (think I) read that Economy class cover the cost of a flight, leaving Business and First class as 'profit'. If so, wouldn't an all Premium Economy be feasible. Think of the (especially Emirates) customers who would love legroom and seat width. Anybody want to lease an A380 to try it out? I'll be CEO and put $100 up. Skymark Airlines is relevant to that.

I can't understand him very well when he says this, but I understood that around 2030 Airbus will probably stretch the A380 (at 1:46)
And he was a bit like John Leahy when asked about a A350-1100: Technically Airbus could build a A380-900!

That's true his accent is a little strong here, as it is usually for French people speaking English. Nice to see Airbus speak again about a stretch! Fabien

I have more trouble understanding the patois of New Jersey - think Sopranos - than I did Monsieur Bregier's comments. Some of the deep south American accents also cause me fits - stateside. Actually his English is quite good. But then I lived in France for a year and went to a French university in Besancon France - back in the day. I always found it surprising that Monsieur Leahy never learned how to speak French. Based on John Newhouse's latest book on the battle between Boeing and Airbus - Leahy chose to not learn the language of France and Toulouse; and Jean Pierson, one of the legendary builders of Airbus, didn't care if he spoke his native language.Leahy sold planes like no one else in the industry.

He said "I'm sure that in 2030, we'll have a stretched A380". We can expect the project to be launched in 2020 ... Unfortunately, no question was asked about the engine improvements EK is trying to achieve.
