Sheet now updated with Boeing and Airbus figures for end October. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LK3NGr1kFwYC9bk8u52J3X28fTAr3kPttsktJYHt2U8/edit?pli=1#gid=0After Boeing's big month they now have 126 net widebody sales for the year so far. With no new sales Airbus are still on 63. Boeing has 215 deliveries for the year and could be breaking some of their industry records. Airbus with 95 deliveries need a year end 'miracle' to match their 2015 record year. Geoff [/quote]

The 787-9 looks set to deliver more than 100 frames this year and could break the record of 104 set in 2014 by the 787-8. Interesting that the A350-900 ( 34 deliveries ) has already moved ahead of the A330-300 ( 33 ) and the 787-8 ( 31 ). Geoff

Looking at the mass of detail being posted on these boards, it seems that Airbus could deliver more than 30 widebodies this month. This is extraordinary as they managed 108 in the first 11 months of 2016. A great achievement but not a very efficient way to work. Why can't Airbus deliver at a more even rate throughout the year?

Geoff This year there are some reasons outside of Airbus control, hitting all three wide body programs. A380: Emirates RR frames delayed because of engine issues. A330: The Saudia regional A330 were piling up because some reason I do not know, but are flowing out now. Certification or perhaps pilot training? A350: Late delivery of mainly cabin parts.

I guess these are the best case deliveries for December and 2016.
A330: 13 --> 66 A350: 15 --> 49 A380: 7 --> 28 AB WB: 35 --> 143
It will be not a record year:-(

Airbus is still in a transition phase. Next year we should see some 77 A330s, 80 A350s and 20 A380s delivered.

That would require one more A350 as there are no other A330s or A380s ready.
