Airbus will split - they will be VERY VERY careful not to have only one supplier. Check their policy since first A300 !

This may as well put RR in a more likely position than PW and GE to power the A330neo Btw, the AirAsia order for GE engines on their new A330s may suggest otherwise. Why would they sign up for GE engines when they already operate a large RR fleet?

Why would they sign up for GE engines when they already operate a large RR fleet? Because they got a better deal from GE, probably a lot to do with finances. One of GE's biggest advantage when selling engines is called GECAS

Well, Hawaii et al. have about a couple of months to decide on the fate of their A358 order...

Well, Hawaii et al. have about a couple of months to decide on the fate of their A358 order... If Airbus is launching an A330 NEO, I am sure HA already has been fully briefed. They might be interested in an A359/A330NEO mix.

Sems like there are highly advanced specification discussion with potential customer going on And if the comment about a current engine variant is true, I assume we might either see modified Trent1000 (maybe XWB) or an GEnx....or both

Rumor has it that RR will exclusively power the A330neo with a Trent 1000-TEN derivative. If true, and if RR would power the A380neo as well, Rolls will have the whole Airbus wide-body fleet for themselves in the next decade.
