In my opinion instead 14 "reconfirmable" 777-9X (not yet booked) LH will order 14 A350-1000. LH only ordered 20 779. The draft contract was for 34, but the number was down to 20 when the contract got board approval. The other 14 now are nothing more than an option. In my opinion, LH already has forgotten about these 14, they are now talking of possibly taking fewer than 20.

Guess LH is impressed with the A350 performance. It is slightly frustrating that there is so much talk about the A350 and its performance (this also applies to every other new aircraft claims) but then we get to hear little after they've entered service, even when we expect that we might! How does it compare with other aeroplanes?

How does it compare with other aeroplanes? We don't see the full picture, but there are a few positive indications : - in service reliability seems to be good (we don't see anything like the string of problems that plagued the early years of the 788) ; the engine seems to be performing as promised, if not better ; - no customer complained in public about reliability or performance ; criticism, if any, is about delivery delays ; even QR has been silent, and has taken Azul A350s on short term lease to speed up A350 introduction - customers tend to use A350s on some of their most important routes. Altogether, A359 introduction has been quite successful.

I can not read the article, however, was this not stated a few months ago, in relation to the 777-9 order? has anything changed? if anyone can summarize the article, it would be helpful.
