According to Air China half year financial statement released today, CA has withdrawn 1 A330-200 already (B-6093, for cargo conversion), and will withdraw 5 more A330s in 2024 (likely to include B-6070, B-6071, B-6072, B-6081, all due for cargo conversion), and 2 more A330s in 2025.
There are large amount of unused wide body capacity in China at the moment, due to market demand is low.
Selling A330neo to the Chinese airlines won't be an easy task right now, even if the delivery time is late 2020's and early 2030's.
