I'd like to keep the table. It's a nice and quick visual summary. But your call. And, I think we're missing whalejet in the table.

Right - so basically you want to collect the monthly summary of the Airbus "OD" XLS into one table.
It is going to be messy since we will have even more various conversions than we had in 2014, careful about that. It is visible from last sheets that even AB does not know exactly how to let readers know about that. IT seems that last two issues already handle this event nicely.
What would be nice - would be to make summary by buyers and year in the end of the year. Not such a big deal since the final 2014 XLS has 85 active lines.

Right - so basically you want to collect the monthly summary of the Airbus "OD" XLS into one table. Essentially yes. The two tables will contain gross and net numbers straight from the O&D spreadsheet however no information will be given regarding individual orders/customers. Individual orders and customers will be listed below, categorised by both month of order and aircraft family. It is going to be messy since we will have even more various conversions than we had in 2014, careful about that. It is visible from last sheets that even AB does not know exactly how to let readers know about that. IT seems that last two issues already handle this event nicely. I'm sure I'll work something out . In the monthly breakdown, conversions and cancellations will be listed separately . What would be nice - would be to make summary by buyers and year in the end of the year. Not such a big deal since the final 2014 XLS has 85 active lines. Which can still be done this time next year.

Do we really need month-by-month numbers ? I am not sure, I think what we need is YTD gross and net numbers by type, aircraft family, narrowbody/widebody**, all aircraft.
Then we would have only one table, and an order/cancellation/conversion list. We could do the same for Boeing.
** Another option would be narrowbody/widebody/VLA

All this is to have some fun looking at the numbers from original sheet in nicely shown way - we can not find a think above the AB sheet So jkkw will have fun playing with the sheet and others will have fun looking at the result of his fun.

All this is to have some fun looking at the numbers from original sheet in nicely shown way - we can not find a think above the AB sheet Yes, we can ! Please allow me to develop my own post above, though this entails some repetition. You dont find in any table provided by Airbus a clear statement of YTD orders by aircraft type, aircraft family, narrowbodies and widebodies (I emphasised what is missing). You cannot find for instance in Airbus tables an A330 total (including all A332, A333, A330F, A338, A339 sales), an A320 family total (including all seven sub-types) or a widebody total, unless you do some work to get it. I know this perfectly, since for years I have been adding ranks/columns to their sheets to get the numbers I needed (breaking up sales totals into narrowbodies and widebodies, for instance ...), and it is becoming more of a hassle with more types now being sold (the members count in A320 and A330 families has doubled). On the other hand, Airbus keeps displaying useless totals dating back to when Airbus was created, still including A300s, A310s and A340s ... We cannot show the details better, but we can try to highlight the big picture, which they aren't doing well.

Concerning YTD I agree completely - concerning playing with their XLS file - I think it is rather straightforward..... Of course another question is how much money they get and here I do believe we will never ever know. We might sum up the list prices, however even if we do that and than look at Airbus total sales (published on their web) - the discrepancy is HUGE ! I.e. it is similar like IT technology. Look at HP printer list prices and compare to street prices - people pay in reality - what a difference on printer worth less then 100USD . Superb additional sources of information are MSN lists provided mostly by XWB and updated by others.

109 A321NEO alone ordered by ALC, minimum 30 of those are A321NEOLR (who knows if it's more when ALC firms the MOU). Quite amazing! Good start for the LR, Airbus and ALC in 2015.

Thank you all for your inputs . Do we really need month-by-month numbers ? I am not sure, Now that you mention it, I agree that the information given in the month by month table probably isn't the most important for classifying orders. I'll merge the information into the firm order breakdown by month. I think what we need is YTD gross and net numbers by type, aircraft family, narrowbody/widebody**, all aircraft. You dont find in any table provided by Airbus a clear statement of YTD orders by aircraft type, aircraft family, narrowbodies and widebodies;(I emphasised what is missing). Isn't this what is being shown in the "Total Gross Order per A/C Family column" at the top of the orders page in the XLS (for Gross orders at least and without breaking it down into total widebodies) or am I being mistaken. Similarly are you looking for classifying orders into the table in the updated first post or is there something more?
