Maybe Avianca take a later build A330F and not cancelling the order? As Freighters have no different passenger seat configurations, it is probably much easier to transfer them from one airline to another. If they have the same engine type, it might make sense to swap or lease them, instead of letting them on the ground without income. A swap of aircraft might only need some repainting.

Curious! Weren't some early build 787s earmarked for RwandAir? This is like LionAir again. That was one of many tentative early-built 787 deals that collapsed soon after announcement.

I believe this when I see the Airbus press release Finance may be key to implementing this project ... EDIT : according to the following piece (in French), the agreement is a letter of intent. From the article linked by XWB, it says it is a MoU.
