It seems that they further delay to deploy A359 on the route ... link please www.routesonline.com/news/38/airlineroute/272214/china-airlines-extends-747-tokyo-service-to-sep-2017/

I don't think its because of any delays in delivery's, also remember when these regionals were originally planned it was not known at the time that SFO would go A350 and LHR's addition at the end of this year probably puts them in a tight position. Also you can definitely notice the A350 is spread thin when I look at purchasing flights HKG-TPE connecting to long haul, from anytime from after April the A350 is often not flying most days on this particular route.
Currently 3 CI frames are in FAL/cabin furnishing in Toulouse. All these should be delivered by September. The other 2 frames will enter FAL in the next 2 months.Which seems to be on schedule.
I guess the next long haul route might be from Feb/March 2018 when they should get their 11th frame delivered.

Well I am jealous. Here I was thinking TPE-BNE-AKL was going to get the A350 first.Well congrats SYD people. Thats going to amazing value if your a member of the airline or sky team elite plus member you can get PE seat for economy price.
At least TPE-BNE went to now a daily flight, here I am hoping that BNE will also eventually change flight times (or also increase to x2 daily) to make it more convenient for LHR connections in the future.
By the way I am surprised they have enough A350 frames around to fit in a double daily flight to SYD. If so then with the other 5 frames arriving from December 2017-mid 2018 that should mean that all of Australia routes will go A350 eventually.
