Someone just posted this on Airliners.net saying Sichuan airlines will lease 4 A350s with deliveries from next year which would be consistent with them taking over the Sri Lankan order.

This is the only news article I can find on the web about it

Sichuan Online news (reporter Wang Mei Ling) China's first Airbus A350 in the next year or to Sichuan. September 20, Sichuan Airlines announced that it would lease the form of the introduction of four Airbus A350 aircraft, the first aircraft expected to be delivered in 2017.

The only known ALC ones are MSN 159 & MSN 166 for Malaysia Airlines), delivery from mid 2017. Looks pretty much NTUs from Sri Lanka Airlines.

Parts of the press report are a bit obscure, though.

Aviation week is now reporting on it so I'm quite confident now that the news in genuine (unlike the last time it was reported the Sichuan airlines was ordering the A350).

As 3 of 4 A350 to Sichuan is coming from AerCap, and thus are the rejected SriLanken ones, MSN52,55 and 60, i guess the question is when the ALC frame is coming
