There were 11 A320 2016 deliveries flown out in 2017 and even 1 from 2015 (MSN 6733 Saudi Gulf). It is not impossible to keep track, some are just shifted by a some days, but the bunch of Chinese ones last year were challenging. Maybe you remember my thread to the topic. Planespotters.net for example does is too, so I/you can double check. BTW: There is still one left being delivered but not flown out (MSN 7669 TSN Chengdu). Based on flown out, but not delivered and not counted in the OD before, this is my summary data for december: A320 94 A330 11 (1 MRTT) A350 8 A380 1 sum 114 So overall Airbus has (more than) 705 deliveries in 2017. I guess we will see some more A320 and A350 deliveries and maybe MSN 232. I also wonder how MSN 7181 will be counted, as insurance case?

Would it help to see a statistic of all aircrafts that had their first flight prior to Jan 1 2018 but haven't had their Delivery Flight yet? Edit...Ok so I created a new statistical output that shows all Aircrafts that had some sort of Activity in 2017 but haven't been Delivered in 2017. I labelled it as BETA because I'm not sure if this output is useful enough since it also shows any of the NEO Test Aircrafts (they had activities in 2017 but haven't been Delivered). Let me know if this might solve a problem to see how many aircrafts haven't actually left FAL in 2017 a320archive.com/statistics/2017/?not-delivered

Interesting numbers: backlogs for 320ceo and 321ceo - 196 and 182 accordingly. Just for ine big year in production.

Interesting numbers: backlogs for 320ceo and 321ceo - 196 and 182 accordingly. Just for ine big year in production. Make it two years, since -ceo is ramping down while -neo is ramping up. With a few end-of-line orders, I think -ceo production will stretch into 2020. Altogether, Airbus increased narrowbody deliveries by 2,4%, widebody deliveries by 11,9% and the grand delivery total by 4,4%. It was a good production year, in spite of engine delays.

The difference between flown out and delivered is acc. to my data 12, 11 A32x + the A359 MSN132. Shouldn't the overall difference with official delivery numbers be smaller ? You must have a positive difference early each year, a negative one at year-end. For instance, at the beginning of 2017, you must have taken into account some aircraft that were delivered in 2016 and flew away in 2017 (sometimes, however, there may be more than a one year difference between delivery and flyaway dates (A350 MSN 52, A350 MSN 55).
