Firstly, I apologise for my lack of language skills. Secondly and most importantly I haven't had a go at the Gulf States. I only stated they have the funds not to fail. It is not a criticism just an observation. Indeed I am a keen supporter of Manchester City FC and we are so lucky to have had the financial support from the Gulf States which has brought us unprecedented success in recent years(Including 400 mill GB pound sponsorship investment from Etihad). I love the A380 but every time I open my mouth I seem to upset someone. Sorry guys I will try to be more respectful in future.

I don't blame them for it at all but Emirates(or Etihad or Qatar) are in the enviable position of being able to press the unlimited funds cheat button! As an addition to my previous posts. Quatar are planning to bring an A380, an A350 and a 787 to Farnborough. Amazing that they have the resources to showcase the top three modern aviation wonders in the World. The rest of the World is green with envy! sorry for going way off topic.

I guess not. But having said that: if any other airline would adopt the same level of service that Emirates (or Etihad or Qatar) has, they would not stand a chance in doing so. US and European airlines are killing themselves, don't blame EK (EY, QR) for that. I must respectfully disagree: they just do not have greedy shareholders demanding a (too) high profit on investments, charging 7 bucks for a Bud in a plastic cup (US airlines). Instead you get a Warsteiner in a glass for free No airline, or indeed just about any Nation in the World could match the huge investments made by the Gulf States in infrastructure and on shiny new aircraft in recent decades. I am not having a go at the excellent service provided by Emirates just suggesting that with their unlimited resources they just can't fail .

Am I the only one that worries about Emirates quest for World domination? It is almost as if they are prepared to fly the 380 anywhere to further their World hub Dubai aspirations(Especially coupled with the amount of 779's they have ordered).

It is just unusual to have a flight delayed by a mouse. I understand why you could not let any airliner fly with a lost rodent deep in the bowels of the machine but do designers take this risk into consideration when creating such a sophisticated piece of modern engineering?

GXLEA couldn't do it's Honk gong rotation because of a mouse on board. Hilarious that a single mouse could ground the mighty beast. This kind of stuff does happen every once in a while. If you think about, it's a huge safety issue. The aircraft will be thoroughly checked for any damages caused by the animal, especially the wiring. As small as it may be, it's no laughing matter. There has even been a fatal crash supposedly caused by an animal as small as a wasp. You are right. There is all manner of important things that the little fella could chew on, let alone the health risk. Personally, I'd be more worried about the cheese board.
